Restoration

Restoration is a delicate art and demands the skills of the most accomplished craftsman. First, splintered or broken wood has to be newly glued or adjusted to its original position. Then, imprints of the ornamentation on the frame are taken and will serve to later match the restored position of the art to the undamaged part. Missing ornaments are recreated and refinished and new coats of chalk have to be applied.
